What else does Albany Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine offer?

We also provides comprehensive ergonomic evaluations, pre-employment testing, and job site analyses.

Human Performance Evaluations

A Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) helps individual company personnel match the physical demands of the job with the physical capabilities of the employee.

HPEs provide an effective pre-placement screening resource to employers, helping confirm their employees can perform the physical functions of the job that is unique to that position.

HPEs will help your company identify ergonomic risks on the job site or in an office setting, reduce repetitive stress injuries among your workforce, and decrease your number of recordable on the job injuries, making your workplace safer for employees.

HPEs can help companies focus on facilitating proper work functions in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

WorkFit physical therapists will visit your job site to observe the physical demands associated with the job. They can then create testing parameters specific to your needs prior to hiring to ensure an efficient evaluation & screening process. These conditions are replicated at our medical center in order to test an employee’s physical capabilities during the pre-employment process.

HPEs will also assist in identifying ergonomic risk factors for both industrial & office settings. Throughout the work-risk analysis, our therapists gather data to make accurate ergonomic recommendations.

Onsite Injury Prevention

Injury in the workplace is a nationwide problem that drives up employer costs and workers’ compensation claims.

Reduce workplace injuries, decrease days absent from work, increase productivity, safety, and increase employee morale.

On average, a company pays $40,000 – $80,000 per episode of back pain from a work-related injury.

Services include industrial or office environment ergonomic evaluations, job rotation analyses, postural risk assessments, and more.

Having a physical therapist onsite that can assist with identifying potential hazards, suggest ergonomic improvements, and assist employees through any ache or pain can decrease these costs.
